Emilio Said

Artista visual. Maestro en Producción y Enseñanza de Arte por la Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatán. Cursó la Licenciatura en la Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado La Esmeralda, México. Miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte. Ha impartido talleres de producción de pintura, gráfica y medios múltiples en la Universidad de Houston, Escuela Superior de Arte Corriente Alterna, Lima, Perú; Universidad de Bellas Artes de Asunción, Paraguay; Centro de las Artes de San Agustín Etla, Oaxaca.  Su obra ha sido expuesta en diversas emisiones de la Bienal Tamayo y la Bienal FEMSA. En los museos que ha expuesto están Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Rufino Tamayo, Museo de Arte Moderno, Museo Carrillo Gil, Museo San Ildefonso, Centro Cultural España, Museo MARCO Monterrey, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca, Instituto de Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca, Museo de Arte de Querétaro, Museo MACAY Yucatán, entre otros.

Visual artist. Master’s degree in Art Production and Teaching from the Higher School of Arts of Yucatán. Bachelor’s degree from the National School of Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking “La Esmeralda,” Mexico. Member of the National System of Art Creators. He has taught painting, printmaking, and multi-media workshops at the University of Houston; the Corriente Alterna Higher School of Art, Lima, Peru; the University of Fine Arts of Asunción, Paraguay; and the San Agustín Etla Arts Center, Oaxaca. His work has been exhibited in various editions of the Tamayo Biennial and the FEMSA Biennial. Museums where he has exhibited include the Rufino Tamayo Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Carrillo Gil Museum, the San Ildefonso Museum, the Spanish Cultural Center, the MARCO Museum in Monterrey, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Oaxaca, the Graphic Arts Institute of Oaxaca, the Querétaro Art Museum, and the MACAY Museum in Yucatán, among others.
