Marie Piselli has a vital need to inject art into all that surrounds her. She overflows with an extraordinary creative energy, wich leads her to print her artist DNA on multiple media.
In the Yucatan, as an artist-in-residency in 2017, she discovered a vibrant tropical flora under the burning sun. A vegetal world she immediately adopted as a coloring book. For Mérida, Marie undertook the task of repainting it, innovating mixing materials, working with the best craftsmen.
To better apprehend the Mayan jungle and its exotic scents, she called both Procédés Chénel International who allowed her the develop a series inspired by the Mexican paper cutting technique, and Elixirs &Co to create a unique eau de parfum. She also offers her collectors to wear ponchos made in a limited series and gives life to hundreds of wish dolls dressed in a huipil made of her Gold Clovers fabric. And a table runner inspired by Yucatán embroidered shawls. This show is a part of dual approach of continuity and constant renewal. This time it is in Mayan land thet the artist leaves her trace. The result of a year of immersion in complete mexicanness.
