El maestro japonés Schin’ichi Hisamatsu teorizó algunos principios de la estética ZEN; según el principio SHIZEN, el hombre/artista busca su inspiración en la naturaleza para captar su esencia íntima.
La estética denota tanto la experiencia sensible de la belleza como la teoría que codifica sus criterios a través del sentimiento de placer, centrada en el conocimiento de la belleza natural o artística.
Si el arte es capaz de generar milagrosamente una sensación de gratificación y bienestar en los seres humanos, significa que el artista ha logrado captar algo importante y colectivo, que concierne a la mente y la psique de todos.
Mi inspiración viene de la sensación cálida y húmeda de la vegetación yucateca. Recorriendo las zonas arqueológicas mayas en Yucatán, adentrándome en la selva donde la naturaleza se manifiesta en todo su poder, entre grandes árboles, flores carnosas y semillas enormes que me devolvieron el mensaje primordial de la reproducción y el ciclo de la vida en su forma más arcaica. Basta con escuchar el silencio espectral de la selva maya para quedar atónito ante la perturbación que transmite la grandeza de la naturaleza. Una naturaleza fuerte y poderosa, evolucionada y primitiva al mismo tiempo, que se ha perpetuado en esta tierra mágica.
El maguey, como el henequén y las diversas especies de agave con sus espadas erizadas de espinas y aguijón final, listo para penetrar -como en un cuadro de Fernando Castro Pacheco- están muy presentes en las representaciones de las culturas mexicanas.
La diosa Mayahuel, a través del pulque que mana de sus 400 senos, da placer y olvido a los hombres mientras su fibra, desde la antigüedad, se tejía para uso doméstico.
Orquídea, femenino y masculino a la vez en convivencia pacífica. Una flor con un perfume y una belleza cautivadores, etéreos y misteriosos. Según la leyenda, el nombre de la especie está ligado al de Orchis, el joven y hermoso hijo de un sátiro y una ninfa que fue castigado por su exuberancia sexual y de cuyos restos nació esta flor carnosa y sensual.
La belleza de la flor hermafrodita, símbolo erótico, se opone a la fuerza guerrera del maguey.

Aesthetics denotes both the sensitive experience of beauty and the theory that codifies its criteria through the feeling of pleasure, centered on the knowledge of natural or artistic beauty.
If art is able to miraculously generate a sense of gratification and well-being in human beings, it means that the artist has managed to grasp something important and collective, which concerns everyone’s mind and psyche.
My inspiration comes from the warm, humid sensation of the Yucatecan vegetation. Visiting the Mayan archaeological areas of Yucatan, entering the forest where nature manifests itself in all its power, among huge trees, fleshy flowers and enormous seeds that brought me back to the primordial message of reproduction and the cycle of life in its most archaic form, more natural and truer. Listening to the spectral silence of the Mayan forest, stunned by the disturbance that the grandeur of nature transmits. A strong and powerful nature that has been perpetuated for millennia in this magical land, evolved and primitive at the same time.
Mayahuel, goddess of the agave, through the pulque from her 400 breasts, gives pleasure and oblivion to men while her fiber, since ancient times, is woven for domestic use.
The maguey, like the hennequen and various species of agave with their swords bristling, thorns and final sting ready to pierce, as painted by Fernando Castro Pacheco, are present in most Mexican representations.
Orchid, feminine and masculine at the same time, in peaceful coexistence. A flower with a bewitching, ethereal and mysterious perfume and beauty. Legend says the name of the species is linked to that of Orchis, the young beautiful son of a satyr and a nymph who was punished for his sexual exuberance and from whose remains this flower was born.
The sensual beauty of the hermaphrodite flower and erotic symbol, opposes the warlike strength of the maguey.
