Folk Dance Classes

Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm to 7:40 pm

International folk dancing is, basically, rhythmic walking in set patterns to really cool, exotic music. No partner is necessary since all dances are danced as a group in circles and lines.
The emphasis will be on dances from the Balkan countries in southeastern Europe, like Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Turkey and Greece, but will also include dances from other countries like France, Israel and the U.S. (line dances).
Some dances are lovely and meditative, others are more vigorous and joyous.
